EOne: Watches designed for everyone
It all started in 2012 on Kickstarter. Eone launches a campaign with a very noticeable design watch, designed for everyone, including blind. The concept was an immediate success. 3800 contributors supported the project, representing an investment over 594 thousand dollars.
After months of collaboration with blinds, Eone clearly identified the sake of discretion and the desire to not draw the attention on their disability. The talking watches did absolutely not respond to this issue. Eone decided to create Braille watches. With two balls, easily detectable with a simple touch, the Eone watches allow a clear, fast and discreet reading.
Eone also noticed that the watches designed for blinds were, in most cases, very unattractive. Therefore, Eone wanted to create a design and original watch that can be worn by everyone.
For the launch of their first watches, Eone pays tribute to Brad Snyder with the Bradley collection. Brad, former lieutenant, lost his sight in Afghanistan. Determined to pursue an active life, Brad won two gold medals in swimming at the Paralympic Games in London in 2012, only one year after the terrible accident. It is an inspiration to all blind.
Buying a watch Bradley EOne is also supporting an important cause. Eone donate a portion of its sales to the guide dog association "The Seeing Eye". EOne is actively committed to make significant contributions, in order to improve Blind living.
In 2015, the EOne Bradley watches won the coveted awards from Red Dot Design Award and the Design Basis 77. In 2014, Eone was nominated for the Design Museum's Design of the Year Award and was awarded the Da Vinci price. Bradley watches are permanently exhibited at the British Museum.
