Victorinox watches: Swiss Made for 130 years
Founded in 1884 by Karl Elsener, Victorinox supplied the very first soldier's knife to the Swiss army. This famous officer's knife made the reputation of the brand for its know-how and the quality of its products. The iconic red design with the Swiss cross is known worldwide. Since then, Victorinox has diversified his offer and currently sells knives, watches and travel accessories.
Victorinox is a Swiss company that continues to produce in the territory, with the exception of travel accessories. Therefore, Victorinox watches benefit from the “Swiss Made” label. This label is a guarantee of quality, worldwide recognized. To qualify for this designation, watches must be fitted with a Swiss movement. A quality control must be carried out in the country by the manufacturer and finally, 60% of the cost of the watch must be generated in Switzerland.
To celebrate its 130 years, Victorinox has decided to perform a series of 130 tests on his insignia watch collection: INOX. The INOX Collection has been designed to last forever and cope with any type of situation. Among the 130 tests carried out, the brand reproduced a fall from 10 meters high at 50 km/h, or a bobsleigh descent on an Olympic track to ensure its resistance to vibrations. After the tests, the brand can affirm that Victorinox INOX watches will not be harmed if a 64-ton military tank rolled over them. You understand now, Victorinox does not only produce quite pretty watches but also watches that will last forever.
