Foxter Watches: Functional watches with breathtaking design.
Foxter is a young French brand marketed since 2018. The name of the brand is inspired by the fox and evokes the beauty and cunning of this animal. Foxter watches are distinguished not only by their design, but also by the features that are offered for each collection.
The Avalone and Sixties Collections
The Avalone Collection will appeal to aviation fans with a design inspired by travel. A map of the earth is subtly visible on the bottom of the dial, without disturbing the reading of the time. For confirmed travellers, the acronym for several capitals is inscribed on the contour of the dial, making it possible to know the local time thanks to the GMT function. Avalone watches are equipped with a Swiss quartz chronograph movement (ISA 8176/1990 caliber). Moreover, the Alarm function is integrated throughout the collection.
The Sixties collection incorporates the traditional and timeless design of the 60s. Foxter also fitted the Sixties watches with a Swiss Ronda 505.24h movement. The strap and the case are made of 316L stainless steel. A unidirectional bezel is present on all watches. We also find the unavoidable and historic blue and red bezel, called Pepsi.
GMT stands for Greenwich Men Time and allows you to set the time in several time zones. This function was first developed by Rolex to meet a request from the airline Pan Am Airways. Pilots and their crew could know the exact time of their destination. The GMT function was invented in 1955 and the first GMT watch was the Rolex GMT Master.
The Avalone and Sixties collection therefore has 4 hands. 3 of its hands take hours, minutes and seconds. The fourth hand corresponds to the GMT function, turning not on 12 hours but on 24 hours. If it is positioned, for example on the first index following the number 4, it is therefore 4:10 in the country of destination.
