Laco Watches: Since 1925
Laco is a German company founded in 1925. The brand is distinguished by a design inspired by aviation and an irreproachable quality. All Laco watches are assembled in Germany in Pforsheim, an internationally recognized city in the world of watchmaking.
Laco, originally named Lacher & Co, produced mainly watch movements. Many companies in the region wanted to use Swiss movements to create their watches. In order to avoid excessive customs and / or import fees, Laco purchased spare parts and assembled them directly at their premises. The finished movements were subsequently sold to the German brands. In the 1950s, the company employed 1,400 people and produced up to 80,000 movements per month.
Following the Japanese quartz revolution, Laco unfortunately fell into oblivion for a few decades. It is only from the 80s that Laco reconverted in the production of aviator watches. Today Laco is recognized for the robustness of its watches as well as the quality of design. The brand has made a name for itself in watchmaking, with a focus on craftsmanship and not industry.
TimeByMe is an official Stockist of Laco watches.
